Our Founder Kristi Dean

It is Kristi’s vision to bring “Living the Rainbow” to communities across the country. “Living the Rainbow” is an adventure in healing communities by gathering stories from the LGBT family in each city and creating a unique theater production. Kristi Dean is an active lesbian in her community, and uses the pronouns she, her and hers.

Durango, CO producer Kristi Dean has produced plays as a teacher; including Murder Mystery Dinner Theaters and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Kristi has also performed in many community theater productions in Gulfport, FL.

An avid lover of theater, Kristi has excitedly founded Let It Out Productions and is producing a family friendly theater production, “Living the Rainbow” Stories of Coming Out and Transitioning.

Kristi was the chairperson for the Four Corners Alliance for Diversity a 501(c) 3 non-profit  in Durango, CO. With Kristi at the realm, the board hosted seven to ten fundraising events each year; including dinners, dances, and DragRango, urango’s first drag show competition. Her team also hosted 15 events over five days for the Durango Pride Festival in 2016 and 2017. Growing the attendance at Durango Pride from 100 to more than  300 in 2016 and more than 500 in 2017. Kristi’s team also hosted the first ever Durango Winter Pride.

At Let It Out Productions, we create triumphant theater productions where players explore their Coming Out or Transition stories, and audiences are transported to a place that feeds the soul, opens the heart, and breaks down barriers.
